Twelve homemade explosive devices were found hidden in a stack of straw during a collaborative operation by security forces in Harinakundu upazila of Jhenaidah earlier today. Major Monwar, the Officer-in-Charge of Harinakundu Army Camp, stated that based on confidential information, a joint forces team conducted the search at Mondoltola village around 1:00am.
The discovery of the crude bombs was made within the straw pile during the operation. Subsequently, the recovered explosive devices were transferred to Harinakundu Police Station for further handling. Inspector Asit Kumar Roy, responsible for investigations at the police station, verified the receipt of the 12 homemade bombs from the local army camp and mentioned that legal procedures are currently in progress.
