“Slipknot’s Side Project ‘Look Outside Your Window’ to Debut After 15 Years”

Date:

Slipknot’s much-discussed side project, “Look Outside Your Window,” is finally set to debut after over 15 years of anticipation. The album will be unveiled as part of this year’s Record Store Day lineup on April 18, creating a buzz in the metal community.

Interestingly, the album will not bear the Slipknot name but will be credited to Look Outside Your Window, the album’s title. This project emerged during downtime while Slipknot was recording their 2008 album, “All Hope Is Gone.”

As per information on the Record Store Day website, the album showcases material composed and recorded by Corey Taylor, Jim Root, Sid Wilson, and Shawn “Clown” Crahan. During breaks from Slipknot sessions, the band members ventured into experimental territory, crafting songs with a more melodic and atmospheric touch, distinct from their usual sound.

Over the years, mentions of this project have surfaced in interviews and been covered by various media outlets like NME, Kerrang!, Revolver, and Vice, with fans consistently clamoring for its release. Finally, those calls are being answered.

The album will contain 10 tracks, including “11th March,” “Moth,” “Dirge,” “Christina,” “Is Real,” “Away,” “In Reverse,” “Toad,” “Juliette,” and “U Can’t Stop This.”

The physical release will be limited to 2,300 vinyl copies, featuring a unique presentation with a die-cut jacket, purple foil accents, colored inner artwork, and embossed text—making it a highly coveted item for Record Store Day 2026.

Given its extensive backstory, limited availability, and significant ties to Slipknot’s artistic journey, “Look Outside Your Window” is anticipated to be a sought-after release among both collectors and fans.
