Bangladesh’s market share in the apparel market of the European Union (EU) saw a rise to 21.57 percent in 2025, up from 20.78 percent in the previous year, driven by the increasing demand for locally manufactured apparel within the EU.
Retaining its position as the second-largest supplier of garments to the EU in 2025, Bangladesh shipped apparel valued at 19.41 billion euros, marking an increase from 18.31 billion euros in 2024, as per data from Eurostat.
According to Eurostat’s findings, China, the leading exporter of garments, maintained a 29.54 percent market share by exporting apparel valued at 26.58 billion euros to the EU in 2025. The total import of garment items by the EU in 2025 amounted to 89.99 billion euros.
Turkey secured the position of the third-largest garment exporter to the EU in 2025, with India following closely in fourth place.
