Nazmus Saquib Faces Fresh Allegations While Abroad

Date:

Nazmus Saquib, the principal accused in a brutal rape case that took place in Sabujbagh, Dhaka, has reportedly been residing in the United States and leading a luxurious lifestyle, according to various media reports. The revelations have sparked widespread public reaction. The matter has drawn further attention following fresh allegations of cybercrime and blackmail involving members of the business community.

In 2011, Sakib was named as the main accused in the rape of a five-year-old child in the Sabujbagh area of the capital. Case-related documents indicate that the child suffered severe physical and psychological trauma as a result of the incident. It has been alleged that Sakib later left the country and relocated to the United States, where he has reportedly remained beyond the reach of law enforcement for years.

Law enforcement authorities have not publicly disclosed detailed information regarding the current status of the case, the progress of judicial proceedings, or the confirmed whereabouts of the accused. However, several sources claim that Sakib has continued to be active in various activities while residing abroad.

Recently, a number of businesspersons have alleged that negative and misleading information about their companies has been disseminated on social media platforms in an apparent attempt to damage their reputations. According to the complainants, threats of administrative complications and online smear campaigns were used to demand substantial sums of money.

The allegations reportedly involve the publication of targeted content on social media, demands for money under threats of reputational harm, and attempts to exert pressure by claiming connections with influential circles. No official response from Nazmus Saquib regarding these accusations has been made publicly available.

The victim’s family and the affected businesspersons have called for swift legal action against the accused. They have emphasized the need for an impartial investigation and due judicial process in both the long-standing rape case and the recent allegations.

Legal experts and human rights advocates state that failure to take effective action against fugitive suspects through international cooperation mechanisms may undermine public confidence in the justice system. They have also stressed the importance of taking firm measures to combat child abuse and cybercrime.

Relevant law enforcement sources indicate that legal proceedings against individuals residing abroad require adherence to mutual legal assistance treaties and established international protocols. The matter remains under review, and official statements from the concerned authorities are expected as investigations proceed.
