“Pakistani Troops Pursue Insurgents After Deadly Balochistan Attacks”

Date:

Pakistani troops are currently in pursuit of separatist insurgents who attacked schools, banks, and security facilities, resulting in the deaths of almost 50 individuals in coordinated assaults across Balochistan province, as reported by the military.

The assaults over the weekend brought the largest province in Pakistan to a virtual standstill when the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) carried out nearly a dozen strikes in one of their most extensive operations, claiming the lives of 17 security personnel and 31 civilians.

According to the interior ministry, Pakistan’s military has neutralized 177 BLA combatants in a span of three days of clashes, as confirmed yesterday.

Both the government and the military authorities in Pakistan have alleged that the BLA has been backed by India, heightening tensions between the two nuclear-armed nations, which faced their most severe armed confrontation in years this past May.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi disclosed that an additional 22 militants were eliminated overnight in various regions of Balochistan, bringing the total tally to 177.

Naqvi stated in a release, “Security forces, police, and intelligence agencies successfully thwarted the malicious plans of terrorists by promptly and efficiently responding to the situation.”
