A follow-up to the popular animated film “KPop Demon Hunters” on Netflix is currently in the works, as revealed by the movie’s songwriter Mark Sonnenblick. This development comes after a successful year for Sonnenblick, during which he garnered significant international acclaim.
In 2026, Sonnenblick has already achieved notable milestones, including winning a Golden Globe and a Grammy for co-writing “Golden,” the breakout track from the film. “Golden” holds the distinction of being the first K-pop song to secure a Grammy win. Upon hearing the news of the song’s Oscar nomination, Sonnenblick expressed his gratitude to fans and described the moment as deeply emotional.
Acknowledging the pivotal role of audience support in the film’s global success, Sonnenblick emphasized the impact of fan engagement on the project’s trajectory.
