Singer Baby Naznin participated in the national parliamentary election by casting her vote on Thursday, joining citizens nationwide in exercising their voting rights. Representing the Dhaka-17 constituency, she visited the polling station at Gulshan Model School and College at approximately 11:00 am. Following her ballot submission, she shared her thoughts with reporters.
“I chose the paddy sheaf symbol and am delighted. Finally, I have fulfilled my voting obligation. It feels like reliving all the votes from the last 17 years,” she expressed.
In the lead-up to the election, Baby Naznin actively campaigned in favor of the paddy sheaf, the electoral emblem of the BNP party. Addressing inquiries about not receiving a party nomination, she emphasized, “The party’s decision holds the utmost importance for me.”
When questioned about the possibility of securing a parliamentary seat through a reserved women’s quota, she reiterated that such a scenario hinged on the party leadership. “It is subject to the party’s discretion. With your support and if it is destined, it could materialize,” she added optimistically.
Encouraging voters to back the paddy sheaf, she reaffirmed her dedication to shaping a “beautiful, prosperous, and harmonious Bangladesh” under the party’s guidance.
