Impress Telefilm Ltd’s latest movie, “Manusher Bagan,” has achieved the distinction of being the first film of 2026 to secure approval from the Bangladesh Film Certification Board. Directed by Nurul Alam Atique, the film has successfully completed the censorship process and is now ready for its upcoming theatrical premiere.
“Manusher Bagan,” produced under the esteemed banner of Impress Telefilm, delves into the lives of individuals from diverse backgrounds, intertwining their stories to showcase the intricate tapestry of society. Notably, the movie includes a captivating song titled “Manusher Bagan,” performed by the popular band Chirkutt, featuring lyrics by Nahidur Rahman Anando, known for his work on the theme song of Atique’s television series “Jadur Shohor.”
Several years back, the director unveiled a striking poster for the film that generated significant buzz. The poster depicted a globe in the backdrop, while individuals of all ages engaged in various activities in the foreground, symbolically representing a vibrant “garden of humans.”
The cast of “Manusher Bagan” comprises talented actors including Prosun Azad, Manoj Kumar, Jyotika Jyoti, Swagata, Munira Mithu, Mahmud Alam, Dipanwita Martin, and Archita Sporshia, among others.
Nurul Alam Atique rose to fame in the early 2000s with acclaimed television dramas like “Choturtho Matra,” “Saikeler Dana,” “A Journey by Boat,” and “Bikol Pakhir Gaan.” His directorial debut in feature films came in 2010 with “Dubsantar,” produced by Impress Telefilm. Following a hiatus from cinema and limited involvement in television dramas, Atique returned with “Manusher Bagan,” while his movies “Peyarar Subash” and “Lal Moroger Jhuti” were also released during this period.
Impress Telefilm has confirmed that the release of “Manusher Bagan” in theaters is imminent.
