Celebrities Capture Voting Excitement on Social Media

Date:

Actors, filmmakers, and musicians started appearing at polling stations in the city and various regions across the country on Thursday morning to participate in voting. Many of them documented their voting experiences on social media, sharing photos and thoughts.

Director Ashfaque Nipun journeyed to Chattogram on Wednesday to partake in the voting process. Following casting his vote, he released a video message urging citizens to exercise their right to vote democratically.

In his message to young voters, Nipun emphasized, “Let the first vote of the youth contribute to a new Bangladesh.”

In a post accompanying the video, he mentioned, “Voting completed. I arrived at the center at 7:30 am. Due to the queue, I voted at 8:10 am. The atmosphere was delightful, voters were passionate, and the officials were friendly—it feels great to have voted.”

Upon his arrival in Chattogram, Nipun shared his insights on the election ambiance. “Even before reaching home, I could hear campaign songs of candidates from the two major electoral alliances at various locations. After a long time, I witnessed election booths being set up at the intersections in our neighborhood. Music is playing,” he noted.

Reflecting on election discussions, he mentioned hearing speculations in the past that the elections might not take place. He expressed gratitude towards Professor Muhammad Yunus and the interim government for organizing the election and described the environment as celebratory.
