“Election Commission Plans Women’s Parliament Seats Vote Before Eid”

The Election Commission announced its intention to conduct the election for the 50 reserved seats for women in the 13th National Parliament before Eid-ul-Fitr, during the Ramadan period. Election Commissioner Abdur Rahmanel Masud confirmed the plan and assured that the schedule would be released before Eid. Regarding the allocation of seats, Masud stated that a political party must secure a minimum of six parliamentary seats in the general election to qualify for a reserved seat among the 50 designated for women. The announcement was made by Masud at the Election Commission headquarters in Agargaon, Dhaka, during a press briefing.
