The National Spring Festival Celebration Council, known as Jatiya Basanta Utsab Udjapon Parishad, has declared that the Basanta Utsab 1432 will be commemorated with a series of cultural events in the city center. The festivities are set to kick off tomorrow (February 14) at the Liberation War Museum, commencing at 7:30 am with a lineup of musical performances marking the onset of spring.
The opening ceremony of the Basanta Utsab will be led by Safiuddin Ahmed, the president of Jatiya Basanta Utsab Udjapon Parishad. During the event, Vice-President Kajal Debnath and General Secretary Manzar Chowdhury, alongside other prominent cultural personalities, will deliver speeches.
This year’s festival will feature group musical presentations by various renowned organizations such as Rabindra Sangeet Shammilon Parishad Dhaka, Bannishikha, Satyen Sen Shilpigosthi, Surbihar, Panchabhaskar, Bulbul Academy of Fine Arts, Surteertha, and the Central Khelaghar Asor. Additionally, group dance performances will be showcased by the Kathak Dance Community, Nrityanalay, Bhabna, Nrityaksh, Jaggo Art Center, Bulbul Academy of Fine Arts, Spandan, Mom Cultural Center, Fifa Chakma Garo Cultural Academy, Angikam, Sadhona, Turongomi, Nandan Shilpa Academy, Swapna Bikash Kola Kendra, Bangladesh Academy of Performing Arts, and the Central Khelaghar Asor.
