Date:

A team from Bangladesh known as CMF eSports has successfully secured a spot in the Honor of Kings Major League Spring 2026, making them the representatives from South Asia in the professional gaming league.

CMF eSports earned their place by winning consecutive championships in the Honor of Kings Open Series, Split 4 and Split 5. These tournaments were specifically designed to identify talented amateur and semi-professional teams for advancement into the official league system.

Specializing in the multiplayer battle arena game Honor of Kings, CMF eSports displayed impressive performances throughout the competition. The team’s current lineup includes S M Shubho Ahmed, Arafat Hossain, Sheikh Matiur Rahman, Asif Ahmed Shiam, and Joel Gerald L. Capotulan, with guidance from Filipino coach Ken Adrian G. Ofalsa.

The upcoming Honor of Kings Major League Spring season is scheduled to kick off on March 12, 2026, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, marking the next chapter in CMF eSports’ regional journey. The Major League has become a crucial platform for aspiring amateur and semi-professional teams striving to break into the professional scene. With recent changes to the tournament format, only one team per region can now secure promotion to the Major League, intensifying the level of competition.

Reflecting on their accomplishment, team member Arafat expressed, “The consecutive victories were the outcome of extensive preparation and team cohesion. We anticipated tougher competition in the second split but remained dedicated to constant improvement. Winning two championships in a row signifies the team’s dedication to mastering the game and supporting each other.”

Another team member, Shubho, described qualifying for the Major League as a moment of pride for the team and the local esports community. “This qualification holds significant meaning for us. It demonstrates that Bangladeshi players have the ability to compete at a high level. Our focus now is on thorough preparation for the Major League to represent our country admirably,” he stated.
