“Genocide in Gaza: Women and Girls Face Horrific Violence”

Date:

In the ongoing tragedy of the Palestinian genocide, Israeli forces, with U.S. support, exploit the bodies of women and girls as instruments of warfare. These individuals endure a range of brutalities, including intimidation, physical violence, displacement, rape, and even murder.

The staggering toll of this genocide in Gaza is grim, with over 22,000 women and 16,000 girls falling victim to the violence. According to a 2026 UN Women report, this equates to an average of 47 women and girls losing their lives daily, or two every hour, underscoring the systematic nature of this barbarism.

Women and girls are targeted to prevent the birth of future generations, ensuring the extinction of Palestinian offspring. Tragic accounts, such as that of Dr. Alaa al-Najjar losing nine of her ten children during a bombing in May 2025, highlight the devastating impact on families.

Children have also borne a heavy toll, with more than 21,000 child deaths reported since October 7, 2023, representing one-third of the casualties. The deliberate targeting of civilians, especially children, aims to disrupt the future and eradicate the Palestinian population.

The dire situation extends to widespread malnutrition, affecting over 12,000 children in Gaza. The collapse of the healthcare system has led to a sharp rise in maternal mortality rates, with pregnant women facing heightened risks during childbirth due to lack of proper care.

Furthermore, fertility clinics have been deliberately destroyed, eliminating reproductive health services and preventing future generations. The systematic attacks on women extend to prisons, where female detainees face harsh conditions, including abuse and neglect.

Female journalists covering the conflict also face grave dangers, with many experiencing threats, abuse, and even death as they report on the genocide in Gaza. The ongoing atrocities raise urgent questions about the need to end this genocide and hold perpetrators accountable for their actions.

Efforts to provide humanitarian aid and support to the Palestinian people remain crucial in challenging the genocidal blockade imposed by Israel and the United States. The quest for justice and an end to the suffering of women, girls, and children in Gaza must continue unabated.
