“Apple’s Foldable iPhone Faces Production Delays”

Date:

Apple is facing challenges in the testing phase of its inaugural foldable iPhone, potentially leading to delays in production and shipping schedules, as per a report by Nikkei Asia, citing insider sources. The report highlights that unforeseen issues arose during initial test runs, necessitating additional time for resolution and adjustments. In a worst-case scenario, the shipment timelines may be pushed back by a few months.

Apple has not responded immediately to Reuters’ request for comments, and the report could not be verified independently by Reuters.

In January, Nikkei Asia had previously indicated that Apple’s strategy included launching its first foldable iPhone concurrently with two traditional models featuring enhanced cameras and larger screens, aiming for a high-profile release in the latter part of 2026.
