Maasranga Television recently unveiled an exclusive Eid lineup, showcasing the world television premieres of two acclaimed Bangladeshi films – “Utshob” and “Kajolrekha”.
“Utshob,” the highest-grossing film from last year, will be aired by Maasranga Television on Eid day at 2:20 pm. Directed by Tanim Noor, the star-studded cast of “Utshob” includes Zahid Hasan, Jaya Ahsan, Aupee Karim, Chanchal Chowdhury, Afsana Mimi, Tariq Anam Khan, Azad Abul Kalam, Intekhab Dinar, Sunerah Binte Kamal, Soumya Jyoti, and Sadia Ayman. The film, released during last year’s Eid-ul-Adha, has maintained a successful theatrical run since its debut.
On the 3rd day of Eid, also at 2:20 pm, Maasranga Television will present the world TV premiere of “Kajolrekha,” directed by Gias Uddin Selim. Released during Eid-ul-Fitr 2024, the film features Shariful Razz, Mondira Chakraborty, Sadia Ayman, Rafiath Rashid Mithila, Iresh Zaker, and Khairul Basar. “Kajolrekha” is based on the 400-year-old Bengali folk narrative Mymensingh Gitika and has garnered international recognition, being showcased at the International Film Festival Rotterdam in the Netherlands. Additionally, it has been integrated into the history department curriculum at the University of Dhaka due to its artistic and historical significance.
