The BNP Media Cell sources disclosed that Tarique will start the visit at the home of Jamaat’s ameer, and then proceed to Nahid’s residence. Shafiqur Rahman, the Jamaat Ameer, resides in Bashundhara Residential Area in the capital, while Nahid Islam’s home is located on Bailey Road.
The timing of the visit was arranged after consultations with Jamaat and NCP, as per the BNP Media Cell insiders. The purpose of Tarique’s visit is to exchange post-election pleasantries with them. Yesterday, the BNP leader reiterated his call for national unity, peaceful behavior, and upholding the rule of law to prioritize the country’s reconstruction after the party’s electoral success.
During a post-election address to journalists at a hotel in Dhaka, Tarique emphasized that the victory belonged to the people and committed to enhancing institutions and the well-being of citizens. He also urged all political parties to stand together for the national benefit, cautioning against any divisions that could weaken democracy.
