The International Chamber of Commerce Bangladesh (ICCB) recently held a full-day workshop focused on “Legal and Compliance Perspectives under Documentary Credits” in Dhaka. The event, which took place at a hotel in the capital, saw a total of 57 participants from 18 different banks in attendance.
The workshop was inaugurated by Muhammad A (Rumee) Ali, the chairman of the ICCB Banking Commission, who served as the chief guest. He also presided over the certificate distribution ceremony at the conclusion of the workshop. The closing session was led by ATM Nesarul Hoque, the executive vice-president of Mutual Trust Bank PLC, who acted as a resource person.
In addition to the key figures mentioned, Ataur Rahman, the secretary general of ICCB; Shah Md Ahsan Habib, a professor at the Bangladesh Institute of Bank Management; and Ajay B Saha, the general manager of ICCB, were also in attendance at the workshop.
