For over thirty years, the well-known host and director Hanif Sanket has incorporated foreign participants in the popular show “Ityadi” to showcase traditional culture, rural activities, and history, while also shedding light on superstitions and societal disparities.
In the upcoming Eid special episode of “Ityadi,” foreign nationals will once again play a significant role. They will act as ordinary villagers, engaging in performances in Bengali to convey educational messages through drama, music, and dance.
As per a statement from Fagun Audio Vision, the theme of this year’s episode revolves around the decline of humanity due to selfishness and greed. The show humorously portrays opportunistic and deceitful characters. Additionally, there will be a theme-based song featuring Rajib and Tanzina Ruma, with music direction by Mehedi and choreography by Mamun.
Approximately fifty foreigners, including diplomats and staff from various embassies and international bodies representing several countries like Japan, Italy, the Netherlands, Australia, France, Poland, Indonesia, Spain, Romania, and the United States, participated in this segment.
Hanif Sanket commended the dedication of the participants, highlighting that despite not being professional artists, their commitment sets an example for seasoned performers. He praised their diligence and determination, especially in mastering Bengali phrases for their roles.
The Eid special episode of “Ityadi” will be broadcast on Bangladesh Television immediately following the 8:00 pm Bangla news the day after Eid. The show, scripted, directed, and hosted by Hanif Sanket, is produced by Fagun Audio Vision.
