“UVTI Launches Specialized Training for Semiconductor Engineers”

Date:

Ulkasemi VLSI Training Institute (UVTI) has launched specialized training programs designed to equip engineers for careers in semiconductor and VLSI design. The curriculum offered by UVTI is tailored to meet industry demands, emphasizing practical training in areas such as register transfer level (RTL) design, design verification, physical design (place and route), digital and analog layout, and design for testability (DFT).

The training programs at UVTI heavily incorporate hands-on utilization of industry-standard electronic design automation (EDA) tools, constituting 80 to 90 percent of the coursework. Taught by experienced professionals, most courses span approximately three months, with classes conducted five days a week totaling around 240 hours of instruction, although some programs extend to 480 hours.

Currently, UVTI provides courses in IC mask design and IC physical design, accommodating up to 150 students concurrently. Upon completion of the courses, participants receive certification as per the institute’s press release.
