False information regarding the passing of veteran singer Hyder Husyn began circulating on Facebook on Saturday evening, causing confusion among his fans and followers. Various groups and pages shared the misinformation, and fake images referencing different media sources were also shared online.
However, the talented lyricist, composer, and singer himself swiftly rejected the rumor. Hyder Husyn addressed the issue with reporters on Saturday night, expressing, “Since the evening, my phone has been constantly buzzing. It’s quite a situation I find myself in! I want to clarify that I am in good health and doing fine.” He emphasized the inappropriateness of spreading false news about someone’s demise.
The false reports sparked worry among fans on social media, prompting many to reach out to the singer through calls and messages to verify the situation. The confusion subsided once Hyder Husyn personally clarified the matter.
Hyder Husyn has previously faced health challenges. In June 2022, he was hospitalized following a heart attack, during which a stent was inserted in his heart. This information was confirmed by his wife, Nusrat Jahan. Additionally, in 2016, he suffered a heart attack while in the United States, undergoing a procedure involving the placement of two stents.
A prominent figure in Bangladeshi band music history, Hyder Husyn co-founded the band Winning and coined its name. The band’s track “Mon Ki Je Chay Bolo” remains a favorite among audiences.
Before venturing into music professionally, Hyder Husyn started his career as an engineer in the Bangladesh Air Force. However, his love for music eventually led him to the music scene, where he has been actively engaged since 1979.
In his early career, he collaborated with renowned composer Alam Khan and later with pop sensation Azam Khan. These collaborations played a pivotal role in shaping his identity as a singer, lyricist, and composer.
