Bangladeshi Cricketers Drafted into Lanka Premier League

Bangladesh’s cricketers Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Hasan Mahmud were chosen by different teams in the 2026 Lanka Premier League (LPL) Players’ Draft held on Monday. Miraz was acquired by Galle Gallants, while Hasan was drafted by Colombo Kaps during the event. With their inclusion, the total number of Bangladeshi players participating in this year’s LPL has now reached five. The tournament is set to take place from July 17 to August 8. Previously, Shakib Al Hasan and Taskin Ahmed were already signed by Jaffna Kings, and Litton Das had been pre-selected by Galle Gallants before the draft.
