The teaser for the upcoming Hindi horror-comedy film “Bhooth Bangla” featuring Akshay Kumar was unveiled on Thursday, March 12, before its theatrical release on April 10.
Akshay Kumar reunites with director Priyadarshan in this film, which also stars Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Tabu.
In a social media post, Kumar teased the film’s storyline as a blend of comedy and mystery set in a haunted house in Mangalpur where marriages are forbidden due to the presence of a mysterious entity named “Vadhusur.”
The teaser, running for one minute and 23 seconds, introduces Kumar’s character searching for a wedding venue and stumbling upon an eerie mansion in Mangalpur. It follows with humorous scenes involving the ensemble cast and hints of a supernatural presence observing the family.
Some viewers drew comparisons between the mansion in “Bhooth Bangla” and the iconic haveli from the film “Bhool Bhulaiyaa.”
The movie is a production collaboration between Akshay Kumar, Shobha Kapoor, and Ektaa R Kapoor under Balaji Motion Pictures and Cape of Good Films.
The script is penned by Akash A Kaushik, with the screenplay crafted by Rohan Shankar, Abilash Nair, and Priyadarshan. Shankar is also credited for the dialogues.
“Bhooth Bangla” is expected to clash at the box office with “Dacoit,” featuring Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur.
