Acclaimed Vocalist Nancy Supports “No” Choice in National Vote

Date:

On the verge of the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election coinciding with a nationwide referendum, acclaimed National Film Award-winning vocalist Nazmun Munira Nancy has made a public declaration in favor of the “No” choice.

In a recent Facebook post, Nancy clearly outlined her position leading up to the vote where individuals have the opportunity to select either “Yes” or “No”.

When asked to elaborate on her decision, Nancy explained that she does not align with all aspects encompassed in the “Yes” alternative. She emphasized the importance of separate presentation of the issues and stressed the significance of informing the public transparently about the consequences of both potential outcomes.

Questioning the definition of the spirit of July primarily associated with a “Yes” vote, Nancy emphasized that July’s essence is not exclusive to any particular faction. She asserted her support for the “No” option due to its existence as a viable alternative.

Responding to online criticism, Nancy dismissed negative feedback from anonymous social media accounts, emphasizing her preference for feedback from individuals who openly disclose their identities.

Expressing apprehension over escalating online harassment, Nancy highlighted the surge in abusive language and personal attacks in recent times. While acknowledging the natural occurrence of disagreements, she condemned the heightened level of hostility in online interactions.

Having previously voiced her concerns in an earlier Facebook post regarding the purpose and presentation of the referendum, Nancy reiterated her stance advocating for the freedom of citizens to make their choice without coercion when presented with both “Yes” and “No” options. Emphasizing the importance of upholding democratic rights, she emphasized the need for individuals to exercise their voting rights without undue influence.
