“Aurthohin Rock Band Undergoes Major Lineup Changes”

Date:

Bangladeshi rock outfit Aurthohin has revealed a significant shift in its lineup as drummer Mark Don and guitarist Ehtesham Ali have announced their departure from the band. The duo made the announcement separately via Facebook posts on Thursday, March 5, which was later confirmed by Aurthohin through an official statement on its social media platforms.

In addition to the exits, the band disclosed the return of guitarist Shishir Ahmed, who had previously left the group in 2023. Joining him are Adnan Atik as the new keyboardist and guitarist, and Sheikh M Riaz as a guest drummer.

Mark Don, who had been a member of Aurthohin for close to a decade, was honored by the band for his decade-long contribution. They expressed that his influence will be felt in every note of their future music and live shows.

Ehtesham Ali, who joined Aurthohin in January of the previous year, has also decided to part ways with the band after around a year of collaboration.

Aurthohin addressed the lineup changes by emphasizing that despite the personnel alterations, the essence and ethos of the band remain constant. The band shared its intention to soon return to the studio and kick off preparations for upcoming live gigs.

Fronted by bassist and vocalist Sumon, affectionately known as Bassbaba to fans, Aurthohin’s current lineup now comprises four members.
