Pakistan’s top batter Babar Azam will miss the first Test against Bangladesh as he is sidelined with a knee injury, according to sources. The injury occurred during a practice session a day before the match in Mirpur when the 31-year-old had to halt his training prematurely. Subsequently, he underwent an MRI scan as confirmed by team officials. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) later announced that Babar has been officially ruled out of the game. In a press release, a PCB official stated, “Babar Azam will not participate in the initial Test match against Bangladesh due to a left knee injury. The team’s medical staff is currently evaluating his condition, and updates will be provided in the near future.”
