Bangladeshi music legend Mahfuz Anam James participated in the 13th national parliamentary election by casting his vote at Baridhara Scholar School and College in the Baridhara DOHS area of the capital city. This polling station is located within the Dhaka-17 constituency.
James arrived at the voting center at approximately 3:30 pm, where he was greeted by enthusiastic fans who requested to take selfies with him. He engaged briefly with voters, law enforcement personnel, and election officials present at the location.
In an interview with Prothom Alo following his voting process, James emphasized the significance of a robust democratic system in a country. He expressed the importance of maintaining continuity regardless of the election outcome, wishing for peace and prosperity for the nation’s citizens.
Reflecting on his voting experience, James noted the smooth and well-organized procedures at the polling station, praising the efficiency of the process without any disruptions.
After completing his vote, James took the opportunity to urge his fellow bandmates to also exercise their voting rights. He reached out to several band members to ensure they had participated in the electoral process.
