BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman called for solidarity with children who have disabilities during an event held at a hotel in Bogura. He emphasized the importance of supporting children with disabilities to ensure they receive dignity and respect in society. The event, organized by the NGO CSF Global on behalf of Tarique’s wife Zubaida Rahman, aimed to provide wheelchairs to individuals with special needs.
Tarique stressed the need for both social and governmental support for persons with disabilities, highlighting that such support can help in nurturing talent across the country. He emphasized the importance of providing opportunities for individuals with disabilities to freely express themselves and be part of the community.
Zubaida expressed the belief that children are the future of the nation and emphasized the significance of planning and policies that prioritize the well-being of children with special needs. She mentioned BNP’s initiatives like “One Tape One Teacher” and “Learning with Happiness,” stating that through education and knowledge, these children can progress and contribute to the country’s development.
