BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman has advised the recently elected party lawmakers to focus on fulfilling the party’s election promises. In a series of meetings at the BNP chairman’s office in Gulshan, Tarique emphasized the importance of upholding the rule of law, ensuring accountability, promoting discipline, enhancing people’s welfare, and driving national development.
Expressing gratitude for their electoral success, Tarique commended the efforts of grassroots leaders and activists who have dedicated themselves to the party over the past 17 years. Prior to the elections, Tarique conducted an extensive campaign, addressing numerous public rallies across the country and outlining specific pledges such as job creation, welfare enhancements, healthcare reforms, and infrastructure and agricultural development.
During the discussions, Tarique stressed the need for a just and accountable state that serves the people. He called for the MPs’ support in governing the country peacefully and delivering on the party’s electoral commitments. The lawmakers were reminded that the election victory was not just a political triumph but a significant responsibility that must be upheld with integrity.
