“BNP Leader Warns Voters of Election Fraud Risks”

Date:

BNP leader Tarique Rahman has urged voters to stay vigilant on election day to prevent any fraudulent activities such as unauthorized voting in different areas using someone else’s identity. Speaking at a rally in Tangail, he emphasized the importance of taking precautions in advance to ensure no one can misuse another person’s vote. Tarique advised voters to closely monitor their respective polling centers to ensure that only eligible individuals are casting their votes without any interference.

Addressing the crowd at the Charchana Bypass area on the Dhaka-Tangail highway, Tarique highlighted the need for a fair electoral process and warned against manipulating the election outcome as witnessed in 2008. He outlined plans to promote Tangail’s sarees internationally, construct a barrage on the Jamuna river to enhance river-based trade, export pineapples, and revitalize the jute industry through establishing new factories if BNP secures power.

Tarique also raised concerns about the unethical practices of collecting voters’ bKash and NID numbers before the election, cautioning against potential risks if such actions go unchecked. He urged the public to be wary of attempts to disrupt the election process, especially targeting women by soliciting personal information like NID and bKash numbers.

Following discussions with district leaders, Tarique departed from Bogura with his wife Zubaida Rahman to attend election rallies at Shahjahanpur and Dhunat intersection. Supporters lined the highways from Bogura to Sirajganj, displaying party flags and banners featuring BNP candidates at various locations. As Tarique’s vehicle passed through, enthusiastic supporters crowded the roads, cheering and waving to show their support.

Tarique expressed confidence that the upcoming February 12 election could significantly impact people’s lives if the right candidates with appropriate symbols are elected. He called on all eligible voters to participate actively in the electoral process, drawing parallels to the unity displayed on July 5, 2024, when individuals from diverse political backgrounds united for a cause.
