“Dhaka University Successfully Completes Campus Animal Welfare Program”

The Dhaka University Animal Welfare Team, in partnership with the Jagannath Hall Students’ Union, has successfully completed a rabies vaccination and sterilization program for campus dogs and cats. The primary goal of this initiative, which included sessions held on January 25 and 29, is to manage the animal population in a humane manner while prioritizing public health and safety.

Mishkat Tanisha, a coordinator of the welfare team, stated, “Our objective in implementing this program is to utilize scientific approaches for animal population control and to create a conducive environment where humans and nature can coexist harmoniously.”

Throughout the program, all procedures were overseen by experienced and licensed veterinarians to ensure compliance with established international medical, ethical, and safety protocols. This meticulous approach was taken to safeguard the well-being of the animals involved and uphold the program’s integrity.
