With Eid approaching, discussions are buzzing in Dhallywood about the upcoming film releases. There is anticipation for a high number of films to hit theaters this Eid, raising questions about the capacity of cinema halls. Let’s delve into the leading ladies of the eagerly awaited films.
Renowned filmmaker Raihan Rafi is known for attracting audiences with his projects. His upcoming film, “Pressure Cooker,” featuring female protagonists, is set for release this Eid. Shobnom Bubly and Nazifa Tushi take on lead roles, with Mariya Shanto and Snigdha Chowdhury in significant supporting roles.
Directed by Redoan Rony, “Domm” is another film scheduled for Eid release. Shot in Kazakhstan and Bangladesh, the star-studded production stars Puja Chery in a fresh character and storyline. Tasnia Farin will also showcase her talent as a leading lady in “Prince,” opposite Shakib Khan, under the direction of Abu Hayat Mahmud.
Adding to the Eid lineup are two Indian actresses. “Prince” features Tasnia Farin alongside Indian actress Jyotirmoyee Kundu. In “Rakkhosh,” Indian actress Susmita Chatterjee stars opposite Siam Ahmed, directed by Mehedi Hasan Hridoy, making it a season with two Indian actresses in the spotlight.

Sabila Nur, who made waves last Eid as Shakib Khan’s co-star, takes on the leading role in Tanim Noor’s “Bonolota Express,” based on Humayun Ahmed’s novel “Kichhukkhon,” as the character Chitra.
Apu Biswas makes a comeback to the screens after a break, pairing with Shajal Noor for the first time in “Durbar,” directed by Kamrul Hasan Fuad.
