A seminar focusing on the future possibilities and obstacles of artificial intelligence (AI) in various professional fields took place at the University of Dhaka on May 8. The event brought together students, professionals, entrepreneurs, and academics to exchange ideas on the expanding influence of AI in work environments and governance.
Titled “AI for Professionals: Future Prospects and Challenges,” the workshop was a collaborative effort between Bizz Solutions PLC and Chartered Technical Training Institute, held at the Professor Dr. Abdullah Faruk Multipurpose Hall within the university premises.
During the session, Md. Shafiqul Alam, a chartered accountant, cost and management accountant, and chartered secretary, delivered the keynote address. He highlighted the importance of AI reflecting human intelligence rather than replacing human wisdom, emphasizing its growing application across different industries.
Moreover, the seminar delved into various issues associated with the swift integration of AI technologies, such as cybersecurity risks, spread of misinformation, algorithmic biases, advancements in deepfake technology, and the potential impacts of automation on job opportunities, as indicated in the official press release.
