Rezia Ahmed, the spouse of the late Zamiruddin Ahmed, who was a distinguished Supreme Court attorney and former ambassador to Malaysia, Libya, and Tunisia, passed away on Saturday evening at the age of 90 after battling Alzheimer’s disease.
Survived by four children, Rezia’s demise was mourned by a large circle of family members and well-wishers. She was laid to rest at Banani graveyard beside her husband and daughter the following day.
A special prayer gathering, known as a doa mahfil, is scheduled to take place at her residence in Dhanmondi after the Maghrib prayers the next day, where her family is requesting prayers for the peaceful rest of her departed soul.
