Israeli forces conducted strikes in southern Lebanon on Monday evening, resulting in the deaths of four individuals, including a child, as reported by Lebanon’s National News Agency. The strikes, which the Israeli military stated were aimed at members of the Shia Muslim armed group Hezbollah, occurred in two separate incidents.
Additionally, in a separate event, Israeli forces apprehended an official from Jama’a Islamiya, a Lebanese Sunni Islamist organization, in a raid. The captured individual was labeled a “senior terrorist” by the Israeli military and was taken to Israel for interrogation, according to reports from the group and Hezbollah.
Israel has been carrying out periodic attacks in Lebanon following the 2024 war with Hezbollah, claiming the lives of approximately 400 individuals since a ceasefire, as indicated by Lebanese security sources.
Three of the casualties, including a three-year-old child, lost their lives in an Israeli airstrike in Yanouh village, as reported by NNA citing the health ministry.
The Israeli military confirmed the killing of a Hezbollah member in a strike in the Yanouh area, identifying him as the head of Hezbollah’s artillery in the region. The military alleged that he had orchestrated numerous attacks on Israel during the conflict.
