The Trump administration announced yesterday that a well-known journalist was detained due to his reporting on immigration demonstrations in Minneapolis. President Trump referred to a nurse, who was fatally shot by federal agents in the city, as an “agitator.”
The arrest of Don Lemon, a former CNN anchor, coincided with President Trump’s shift in tone following public backlash over the deaths of Alex Pretti, a nurse at a veterans’ hospital, and another American in Minneapolis.
Attorney General Pam Bondi disclosed on social media that Lemon and several others were apprehended on unspecified federal charges linked to what she termed a “coordinated assault” on the Cities Church in St. Paul, the neighboring city of Minneapolis.
