Rashed Kanchan currently serves as the Executive Director of SATV, a leading satellite television channel in Bangladesh. He is also the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Rashed Kanchan Corporation, a communications, branding, and public relations firm.
His journalistic career is marked by courage and depth—he reported directly from war-torn Iraq in 2003, risking his life to cover the conflict, and earlier from Sierra Leone’s civil war in 2001.
Most recently, his book titled “5C – Corruption, Conspiracy, Capitalism, Contradiction, and Cooperation” has drawn significant attention. The work offers a data-driven analysis of Bangladesh’s 53-year-long fiscal challenges, systemic inefficiencies, and global economic interlinkages.
