“Mirzapur” Franchise Announces Movie Premiere Date

The team behind the hit crime series “Mirzapur” has officially revealed the premiere date for its upcoming film adaptation. Titled “Mirzapur: The Movie,” the film is set to hit theaters on September 4, marking the transition of the beloved OTT franchise to the big screen.

Crafted by Puneet Krishna and helmed by Gurmmeet Singh, the movie will bring back familiar faces from the original series. Pankaj Tripathi will return as Kaleen Bhaiya, alongside Ali Fazal reprising his role as Guddu Pandit. Fans are eagerly anticipating the comeback of Munna Tripathi, portrayed by Divyenndu, a standout character from the show.

With the support of Amazon, MGM Studios, and Excel Entertainment, the announcement followed the conclusion of filming. A new poster was unveiled, showcasing a procession of cars in the desert and Kaleen Bhaiya’s iconic chair, teasing the film’s gritty gangster narrative.

Since its debut in 2018, “Mirzapur” has garnered immense popularity for its enthralling depiction of crime, politics, and vengeance within the lawless domain governed by the Tripathi family. Stellar performances, sharp dialogue delivery, and action-packed storytelling have contributed to the series amassing a dedicated fan base.
