Prof Muhammad Yunus Returns to Lead Bangladesh

Nobel laureate and former chief adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus has resumed his previous responsibilities after an 18-month tenure leading Bangladesh’s interim government. The Yunus Centre expressed their joy at his return with a statement extending a warm welcome to Professor Muhammad Yunus. Upon his arrival at the Yunus Centre located at Telecom Bhaban in Mirpur this morning, he was greeted by his longstanding colleagues. Subsequently, he engaged in meetings with Grameen organizations, as well as the managing directors and advisers of the Yunus Centre. The recipient of the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize has outlined his intention to go back to his residence in Gulshan, Dhaka, by the conclusion of this month.
