Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus has encouraged voters to consider February 12 as the dawn of a rejuvenated Bangladesh. In a televised address, he emphasized the significance of each vote in shaping the nation’s promising future. Yunus urged citizens to take charge of the country’s destiny by utilizing their voting power to lay the foundation for a new era.
He highlighted that voting in the election is not a mere formality but a pivotal decision that will impact the prosperity of future generations, the security of families, and the overall trajectory of the nation. Yunus stressed the importance of active participation in the referendum, stating that citizens’ rights and responsibilities converge during this crucial period.
The chief adviser urged voters to approach polling stations with hope, responsibility, and unity, emphasizing the need for a transparent and fair referendum to demonstrate Bangladesh’s sovereignty. Yunus expressed gratitude for the cooperation among political parties, candidates, and various stakeholders in maintaining a conducive electoral environment.
With a record number of 51 political parties participating in the elections and over 2,000 candidates, Yunus called for prioritizing national interests over personal or party agendas. He underscored the need for all stakeholders to work towards building a just, democratic, and inclusive Bangladesh post-elections.
