TikTok took down more than 15 million videos in Bangladesh in the last quarter of 2025, as revealed in its recent Community Guidelines Enforcement Report. During the period from October to December 2025, a total of 15,392,129 videos were removed in Bangladesh for breaching TikTok’s rules. Most of these removals were preemptive, occurring before user reports were made. Of the videos flagged by automated systems, 98.4 percent were deleted within 24 hours of being uploaded, according to a press statement.
On a global scale, TikTok eliminated 175,302,085 videos in the same timeframe, accounting for roughly 0.5 percent of all content shared on the platform. Of these removals, more than 152 million videos were identified through automated detection technologies. Nevertheless, 8,360,780 videos were subsequently reinstated following additional scrutiny, highlighting the continuous challenge of maintaining a balance between swiftness and accuracy.
The report also mentioned that TikTok eradicated more than 147 million fake accounts during the quarter, in addition to almost 24 million accounts suspected of being operated by individuals under the age of 13. In terms of content genres, approximately 21.2 percent of the removed videos contained sensitive or mature subjects that contravened platform guidelines. Another 9.1 percent violated regulations regarding safety and civility, while smaller percentages were associated with privacy infringements (1.2%), misinformation (1.6%), and manipulated or AI-generated media (1.8%).
