On the same day, Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar was targeted with a syringe of unknown liquid at a town hall meeting in Minneapolis, where she criticized the Trump administration’s immigration policies. White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller stated that the administration is reviewing whether Customs and Border Protection agents involved in the shooting of a 37-year-old man failed to adhere to established guidelines.
According to a Department of Homeland Security report to Congress, two federal officers discharged their weapons during the incident.
