Ukrainian authorities announced yesterday that a total of 10 individuals have been apprehended in Ukraine and Moldova on suspicion of a plot to carry out targeted assassinations of high-ranking Ukrainian political figures under directives from Moscow, with promised rewards reaching up to $100,000.
The Ukrainian government has previously pointed fingers at Russia for orchestrating schemes to eliminate various senior officials, including President Volodymyr Zelensky and the chief of Ukraine’s intelligence agency.
Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko declared that an organized group has been uncovered through the collaborative efforts of Ukrainian and Moldovan law enforcement agencies, which had been actively preparing contract killings of prominent Ukrainian nationals and foreign individuals.
