Rohit, who will turn 39 next month, led Mumbai to victory in five Indian Premier League seasons before stepping down as captain in 2024, paving the way for Hardik Pandya to take over.
Similar to Kohli, who is 37 years old, Rohit focuses on playing for India in the 50-overs format while aiming to prove his worth as a game-changer in the T20 league. Coach Mahela Jayawardene commended Rohit’s performance, stating that he has mentally freed himself, reducing the burden of leadership and enabling a more relaxed approach to his game.
