“Bangladesh Bans Nationwide Drone Flights Until Feb 15”

Date:

The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) has issued a nationwide prohibition on drone flights until February 15. According to a statement released by CAAB, this restriction excludes law enforcement agencies and the defense forces.

However, drone activities for purposes such as research, surveying, agriculture, monitoring, and broadcasting official government events may be authorized for government or private entities after submitting an application to CAAB and receiving clearance from all relevant authorities following established protocols.

CAAB has cautioned that individuals breaching the ban by operating drones will be deemed to have contravened Section 24 of the Civil Aviation Act, 2017.
