The Bangla Academy has revealed the recipients of the Bangla Academy Literary Award 2025, acknowledging their exceptional contributions in various categories. The announcement was made public today through an official press release.
The award recipients will be honored during the opening ceremony of the Amar Ekushey Grantha Mela (book fair) 2026 on Thursday, February 26, as per the press communication.
This year’s awardees include Mohon Raihan for Poetry, Nasima Anis for Fiction, Syed Azizul Haque for Essays/Prose, Hasan Hafiz for Children’s Literature, Ali Ahmad for Translation, Mustafa Majid and Israel Khan for Research, Farseem Mannan Mohammedy for Science, and Maidul Hasan for Liberation War contributions.
The press release highlighted that the selection of the Bangla Academy Literary Award 2025 recipients was approved by the academy’s executive council following the recommendations of the nomination committee and in accordance with the award committee’s decision.
Furthermore, the awards will be officially bestowed during the book fair on February 26, organized by the Bangla Academy. The statement mentioned that Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will be presenting the awards to the deserving individuals.
