President Donald Trump announced on Thursday his intention to instruct federal agencies to commence the disclosure of government files pertaining to extraterrestrial beings and unidentified flying objects (UFOs), citing heightened public curiosity on the subject. Trump, through a social media post, stated that he would mandate Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth and other relevant agencies to unveil the information, emphasizing the issue’s significance and intrigue.
Earlier the same day, Trump, without substantiating his claim, accused former president Barack Obama of improperly revealing classified details while discussing aliens openly, asserting that Obama had committed a significant error. “He took it out of classified information … He’s not supposed to be doing that,” Trump remarked to reporters during his trip to Georgia.
In an interview with podcast host Brian Tyler Cohen that was made public on Saturday, Obama was questioned about the existence of aliens.
