“Humayun Ahmed’s ‘Bonolota Express’ Teaser Captivates Audiences”

Date:

The upcoming movie “Bonolota Express,” directed by Tanim Noor and scheduled for release this Eid-ul-Fitr, has revealed its first glimpse, piquing audience curiosity. Adapted from Humayun Ahmed’s renowned tale “Kichukhon,” the film initially unveiled an official poster before showcasing the new preview.

The initial look was introduced on the evening of Wednesday, March 4, through various social media platforms, including Hoichoi Bangladesh and Buriganga Talkies’ YouTube channels.

The visuals depict a sentimental railway station backdrop, gradually unveiling a diverse cast of characters within the context of a train voyage. The ensemble includes familiar faces such as Mosharraf Karim, Chanchal Chowdhury, Zakia Bari Mamo, Azmeri Haque Badhan, Intekhaba Dinar, Shyamal Mawla, Sabila Nur, and Sariful Razz, alongside promising newcomers.

In the first peek, Sabila Nur embodies the role of a typical Bengali woman, while Chanchal Chowdhury portrays a minister, Azmeri Haque Badhan as his spouse, and Sariful Razz as a doctor. Mosharraf Karim’s character is also presented in a distinctive manner.

A well-known line from the series “Mohanagar” — “Duita kotha mone rakhbe” — is cleverly incorporated into the teaser, injecting surprise and humor for the audience.

The director emphasized that Humayun Ahmed’s narratives are deeply rooted in human emotions, unspoken anguish, and profound compassion. “Bonolota Express” aims to visually encapsulate these sentiments, offering a collective journey through Bangladesh via a shared train expedition.

Apart from its Eid-ul-Fitr theatrical release nationwide, the film is set to premiere internationally starting April 3.
