“Bangladesh Olympic Football Squad Announced for Diamond Jubilee Tournament”

The Bangladesh Football Federation has unveiled a preliminary squad of 32 players for the Bangladesh Olympic football team ahead of the Diamond Jubilee Football Tournament scheduled in Maldives from June 1-10. The selected squad members will convene at the team hotel for a training camp starting tomorrow. Maruful Haque, the coach of Abahani, has been assigned the responsibility of leading the young team during the tournament. Notably, no players based overseas have been included in the team. Apart from the Bangladesh Olympic team, the tournament will feature the host nation Maldives, along with Afghanistan and Pakistan, who are expected to field their senior national teams. The preliminary squad includes players such as Md Mehedi Hasan Srabon, Sakib Al Hasan, Md Ishaque Akando, Md Asif, and others.
