BYD has recently unveiled three new vehicle models in Bangladesh – the BYD Seal 5, BYD Seal 6, and BYD Sealion 6 AWD – during a launch event held on May 17 at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB).
The BYD Seal 5 is a super plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) sedan that runs on BYD’s DM-i technology and Blade Battery. It is powered by a 1,500cc Xiaoyun high-efficiency engine, providing a combined maximum output of 154 kW and 300 Nm of torque. The sedan boasts a driving range of up to 1,000 km and comes equipped with advanced safety features such as ADAS, a 360-degree HD camera, six airbags, vehicle-to-load (V2L) capability, regenerative braking, and a 12.8-inch intelligent infotainment system.
On the other hand, the fully electric BYD Seal 6 offers a range of up to 410 km and is driven by a permanent magnet synchronous motor with rear-wheel drive, delivering 95 kW of power and 220 Nm of torque. Notable features of the vehicle include DC fast charging, ADAS, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, leather seats, PM2.5 air filtration, and BYD’s Blade Battery technology.
The third model, the BYD Sealion 6 AWD, is an all-wheel-drive super plug-in hybrid SUV with a pure electric range of up to 128 km. It is complemented by a 1,500cc turbocharged engine for longer journeys. The SUV comes with a 15.6-inch infotainment display, an Infinity premium sound system, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated and heated seats, V2L support, seven airbags, and advanced ADAS safety technologies.
