The trailer for the upcoming web film “Ekshathe Alada” was revealed on March 8 on Hoichoi’s social media platforms, ahead of its premiere on March 19 during Eid-ul-Fitr.
Directed by Rezaur Rahman, the one-hour romantic comedy-drama delves into the intricate emotions of a marriage that has lost its spark. The plot revolves around Farhan and Amira, a couple struggling in a relationship that feels hollow despite their efforts to salvage it.
As the story unfolds, the duo grapples with their inner turmoil while facing societal and familial pressures. Despite staying together, true happiness appears elusive to them.
Yash Rohan and Parsa Evana star in the lead roles, marking their debut collaboration on Hoichoi. The ensemble cast also features Tariq Anam Khan, Tushar Khan, Rosey Siddiqui, and Deepa Khondkar in pivotal characters.
The screenplay was co-written by Rezaur Rahman and Karina Kaiser, with Syed Ahmed Shawki producing the project and Shahriar Islam as the executive producer.
The film’s cinematography is by Ishtiaq Hossain, edited by Mahfuzul Haque Ashique, and features music by Khayam Sanu Sandhi and sound design by Ripon Nath. Makeup artists Kazi Asmita Pranjoli and Sujon Bepari, costume designer Swapna Rani Bain, and art director Md Rinku also contributed to the production.
Director Rezaur Rahman stated that the film portrays the contemporary challenges faced in relationships where love, personal growth, and work pressures intersect. He emphasized that the trailer provides just a glimpse of the emotional voyage depicted in the film.
Lead actor Yash Rohan expressed how the storyline resonated with him instantly upon reading the script, highlighting its relevance to real-life situations. Actress Parsa Evana described her character as intricate and demanding, emphasizing the film’s blend of humor and emotional depth.
“Ekshathe Alada” is set to premiere on Hoichoi on March 19.
